ISO 27701 extends ISO 27001 into a Privacy Information Management System. Requires an active ISO 27001 to sit on top of. The standard pairs cleanly with GDPR — many canonical document keys overlap, so adopting 27701 alongside an existing GDPR pack adds the certifiable-PIMS structure without duplicating the work.
